Doubledot has permanent desks in our Ferrymead office for freelancers, contractors, remote workers and small teams who want a proper place to work. We have some space available suitable for up to 4 people - there are also a couple of meeting rooms when privacy is needed or to meet clients.
Who's it most suited to?
It suits the people who tend to find us: software developers, designers, copywriters, marketers, consultants, contractors, remote workers, ecommerce operators, and small startup teams. Basically, if your work happens on a laptop and you've started talking to yourself at home, this is probably your scene.
Who it's honestly not for: big teams who need a private leased floor, retail businesses that need a shopfront and walk-in customers, anyone after a casual one-hour desk hire, and loud, phone-heavy sales floors (it's a fairly quiet office, and we'd like to keep it that way). If that's you, no hard feelings, you'll be better served elsewhere.

Do I need to sign a long lease? No. That's the whole point. You get a proper desk without a commercial lease.
Is this hot desking or a permanent desk? A permanent, dedicated desk. Same spot every day, set up how you like it. We don't do casual drop-in hot desking.
Can I rent space for a small team? Yes, up to four people. Good for a founder and a couple of contractors who don't need a whole leased office.
What's included in the monthly price? Desk and chair, power, 900Mbps+ fibre, printing within reason, kitchen, meeting rooms, boardroom, recording room and a mailing address.
Is the internet any good? Yes. 900Mbps+ fibre built for a full office, so calls and big files aren't an issue.
What are the access hours? 24/7 swipe key access.
Can I bring clients in for meetings? Yes. That's what the meeting rooms and boardroom are for.
Is this suitable for remote workers and contractors? Very. Most people here are exactly that, plus developers, designers, marketers and small startups.
How close is it to Sumner, Redcliffs and The Tannery? Minutes. We're in Ferrymead off Ferry Road, easily reachable from the eastern and coastal suburbs.
